Why 224 Youth Zone Matters
224 Youth Zone is a brand-new, state-of-the-art youth Zone opening in South Bristol. Part of the national OnSide network, it will provide thousands of young people aged 8–19 (and up to 25 with additional needs) with somewhere safe, affordable, and inspiring to go, every evening, weekend, and school holiday. 224, in partnership with Onside will create the first large scale youth hub in Bristol, alongside other partners across the city to create an exciting and diverse delivery programme.
Founder & Cornerstone Patron Investment
Becoming a Founder Patron involves a commitment of £25,000 per year for four years, while a Cornerstone Patron invests £100,000 per year for four years. Your support will directly fund the people, programmes, and facilities that make 224 Youth Zone a life-changing space for thousands of young people. This multi-year commitment ensures stability, growth, and lasting impact in the heart of Bristol’s community.
We will work with all of 224’s Founding Patrons to understand their motivations for getting involved, and create programmes around volunteering, mentorship, facilitating apprentices, work experience and much more. We ask Founder Patrons to make a four-year commitment, but whether or not the partnership continues afterwards, you will forever remain a 224 Founder Patron.
We encourage all potential Founder Patrons to visit an existing Youth Zone, to witness first-hand the transformational positive impact the centres can have for local young people.

The need
The cost-of-living crisis has exacerbated many of the challenges faced by young people. We know that having safe, affordable, and high-quality spaces to meet, helps young people feel less isolated, gain confidence, and increase their health and sense of belonging.
Founder Patrons will play a central role in achieving this, in turn creating healthier communities in the areas surrounding 224, which are more cohesive and where people – of all ages – can thrive.
