Ruth’s career spans over 15 years in venue operations and leadership, working across a wide range of sites throughout the UK, including established visitor attractions, arts venues, and community spaces. Throughout these roles, she has seen first-hand how well-run, welcoming environments can unlock creativity, connection, and opportunity.
This new role with 224 Youth Zone is deeply personal to Ruth. As a teenager, she was an active member of several community arts organisations that gave her the confidence to follow her passions and develop her skills. Those spaces offered support, belonging, and encouragement, experiences that continue to shape how she leads and nurtures teams today.
Ruth has a strong commitment to legacy-building and giving back, ensuring that organisations and spaces have a lasting, positive impact on the communities they serve. Stepping into this role feels like a natural next chapter: bringing together her operational expertise with purpose-driven work, and helping to create an environment where teams, young people, and the wider community can truly thrive at 224 Youth Zone.
